The Cleveland Institute of Art, an independent not-for-pro fit college, seeks an experienced enrollment management professional who is a strong leader, thinker, and manager as well as a compelling advocate for arts education.
A senior officer of the Institute, the dean will be a forward-looking leader with great entrepreneurial, technological, strategic, and analytic skills combined with a deep appreciation for art and for the kind of student drawn to an art institute. Knowledge of and expertise in the broad array of strategies, tools, and best practice in enrollment is essential, as well as a willingness to take risks and a talent for working collaboratively with others and for implementing and managing change.
The dean will provide leadership to the admissions and financial aid functions and bring vision, energy, strategic focus, and exceptional execution to all enrollment matters, while working collaboratively across the Institute's administrative team and with faculty to build the strongest possible institution. Holding the mission and the welfare of the Institute and its students paramount, the dean will develop and lead a devoted staff that is eager to move forward.
The dean will be a person of unimpeachable integrity with an inclusive, team oriented management style, an unerring commitment to students, and truly exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. He or she will possess the personal qualities of intellectual and artistic curiosity, exceptional interpersonal skill, significant strategic and analytical capacity, technological savvy, a collaborative work style, an eagerness to lead a continuous institutional conversation about Institute enrollment, and the commitment to excellence that characterizes the Cleveland Institute of Art.
