Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations

Duke University's Fuqua School of Business seeks an accomplished professional with depth in development to leverage and enhance its national and international reputation, deepen relationships with alumni and other key constituents, and augment the breadth and substance of its philanthropic support.
The Fuqua School of Business began in 1970 with a class of 12 and is today consistently among the top ranked business schools in the world. Notably, Business Week ranks Fuqua as #8 and various international publications rank it #1 or #2 in faculty quality and research productivity. Today, approximately 1,340 students are enrolled in its degree programs including The Duke MBA-Daytime program, The Duke MBA-Global Executive program, The Duke MBA-Weekend Executive program, The Duke MBA-Cross Continent program, the Master of Management Studies (MMS) program for new college graduates, and the Ph.D. program. In addition, more than 1,000 managers and executives of leading firms worldwide attend Fuqua's non-degree Executive Education programs each year.

The associate dean will report to and work closely with an ambitious and energizing dean, in collaboration with central university development, to generate enhanced resources from school-specific and interdisciplinary development activities.
The successful candidate will bring innovative thinking, collaborative strategies, and proven managerial and fundraising skills gained in a comparable institution, foundation, or non-profit organization with a significant global enterprise. He or she will have the leadership skills and requisite experience to create and nurture a diverse set of strong relationships, inspire professionals and volunteers to new achievements, and effectively engage with faculty, stakeholders and constituents to develop a forward-thinking, responsive and high performing organization.
