Elaina Spitaels-Genser, is the Regional Director for the Western Region of Witt/Kieffer. Elaina has been in the executive recruiting industry since 1985 and has successfully recruited scores of CEOs and senior management executives. Her clients include health systems, integrated delivery systems, hospitals, as well as long-term care, managed care and related organizations committed to improving the quality of life. Elaina has advised boards, senior management and physicians in a variety of settings in their search for leadership talent.

In 1992, Elaina established Witt/Kieffer's San Francisco Bay Area office in Emeryville, which she continues to manage. She began her executive search career in 1985 as a principal in the healthcare division of an international search firm in San Francisco. Prior to that, she was a healthcare strategy and financial consultant.

Elaina has counseled leaders in the field on numerous topics such as recruitment and retention, succession planning, executive compensation and career progression. She serves on the boards of not-for-profit organizations and remains active in many professional associations. A frequent speaker at healthcare and leadership conferences, Elaina has also served on the Board of Directors of Witt/Kieffer for seven years.
