A. Wayne Luke is managing partner of Witt/Kieffer’s not-for-profit practice and Witt/Kieffer’s collegiate athletics leadership practice. With over two decades of executive search and leadership development experience, he has successfully partnered with a wide variety of world-class, high impact organizations both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors helping to drive their efforts to identify and hire game-changing, senior leaders. Wayne is based in Witt/Kieffer’s Atlanta office.
Prior to joining Witt/Kieffer, Wayne was the managing partner and head of The Bridgespan Group’s executive search organization, based in Boston, MA. In this role, he built a high capacity team and personally led president & CEO and top C-Level executive searches for scalable community service/engagement, environmental, major philanthropic and human service organizations.
Before that, Wayne served as the executive vice president of people and organizational development for the Atlanta Falcons and the other organizations owned and led by Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot. Prior to this, he served as corporate development officer for Talentquest where he was responsible for building executive recruiting and leadership mentoring capacities within the enterprise. Wayne also held previous senior leadership roles with a major global search firm, two venture-backed technology companies and Raychem Corporation in Menlo Park, CA.
Wayne has served on a variety of active community boards, including the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, the Atlanta Opera, Zoo Atlanta and Georgia Tech Alumni Association board of trustees.
