Robert W. Luke is a senior associate in Witt/Kieffer’s Education practice and a member of the Education Practice Operating Committee. He works to identify presidents, chancellors, provosts, vice presidents, and deans on behalf of public and private universities and colleges. As an active firm citizen, Robert leads and contributes to a broad range of committees, working groups, and initiatives aimed at best serving client needs. Recently, he received Witt/Kieffer’s 2016 Quality Award recognizing his clients’ satisfaction and his exemplification of the firm’s values and ideals.
Robert has over 15 years of experience in education and politics. He came to Witt/Kieffer from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he led special projects for the president and provost. This included contributing to the university-wide strategic planning process, supporting the reorganization of the medical center, and managing nearly 15 executive search processes. Additionally, he directed executive transitions and advised new vice presidents and deans on developing their organizational structures.
Prior to his higher education experience, Robert worked in Florida politics. He served as the deputy campaign manager for Bill Nelson for U.S. Senate in 2006. In this role he managed the campaign headquarters and three state offices, directed major events and speaking engagements, and supervised field operations. Before the campaign, Robert was a staff assistant to Senator Nelson.
