Robin Mamlet, senior partner, focuses on helping institutions find their next generation of leaders. She directs search assignments for presidents, provosts, deans, chief advancement officers, and chief public affairs and communications, diversity, student affairs and enrollment officers. Robin also leads Witt/Kieffer’s enrollment management and admission search practice and serves as deputy managing partner of the higher education practice.
Robin draws on nearly 30 years of experience in education, lending wisdom and proven expertise in reaching out to and attracting individuals who will thrive in a given institutional culture. She brings to her executive search practice a deep understanding of the market forces, public perception, commercialization and philanthropic imperatives that increasingly influence academia, and the qualities required for effective leadership in today’s complex world of higher education and non-profit management.
A national leader on access and diversity recruitment, Robin came to Witt/Kieffer after 23 years in academic administration, most recently as dean of admission and financial aid at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. She also served as chief enrollment officer at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA; Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY; and The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ. Prior to that, Robin worked at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and Pomona College in Claremont, CA.
A writer and frequent speaker on education, career paths and talent development, Robin has been published in the Chronicle of Higher Education, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.
