Stephen (Steve) N. Kirnon, vice president and life sciences practice leader, is based in the Witt/Kieffer Emeryville office. He brings over 25 years of global experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, drug delivery, and medical device industries to his executive search practice.
Prior to joining Witt/Kieffer, Steve was executive vice president and diversity leader for Strawn Arnold Ashpitz Groover, Inc., an executive search firm serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics sectors. In this role, he recruited executives in finance, general management, research and development, regulatory and medical affairs, manufacturing, business development and marketing.
Steve has also held president/CEO, business development and management roles in various pharmaceutical and healthcare technology companies. His most recent position outside of executive search was as president and CEO of Pepgen Corporation, an autoimmune biopharmaceutical company.
Steve currently serves as adjunct professor at Pepperdine University, for their graduate program in social entrepreneurship and change. He serves as a board member of several life science companies, New England College of Optometry and Industrial Advisory Board for The University of the Pacific.
