Baptist Health System (BHS) based in San Antonio, Texas has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in the recruitment efforts for a Regional Chief Financial Officer.

BHS has a century-long reputation for compassionate, community-oriented health care. With a faith-based mission of teaching, healing and Christian service and five full-service acute care hospitals located throughout the city, the system is a leading healthcare provider in San Antonio, Texas. Vanguard Health System partnered with Baptist Health System in 2000 and since then, BHS - with more than 1,500 licensed beds - has expanded its services, enlarged its campuses and strengthened its community commitment.

The Regional Chief Financial Officer will report directly into the Baptist Health System President and CEO, and will maintain a dotted-line relationship to the Corporate Chief Financial Officer. The system employs financial executives at each of the five BHS hospitals, who report to the Regional CFO. However, BHS operates under one provider number and functions as an integrated delivery network. Together with the market President, the Regional CFO will provide strategic leadership to continually improve local market share and incorporate the system's financial philosophy into the long- and short-range strategic planning process.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary financial leader with unquestioned integrity and a commitment to the vision, mission and values of BHS. The successful candidate must have a relevant undergraduate degree with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure or graduate degree in business or accounting and an outstanding record of achievement with at least ten (10) years of progressive financial management experience with a proven track record of financial success at Chief Financial Officer level. Experience in an integrated multi-site healthcare system is required.
