MacNeal Hospital located in Berwyn, Illinois has retained Witt/Kieffer, the nation's largest executive search firm specializing in healthcare, to assist them in their recruitment efforts for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

MacNeal Hospital became a member of Vanguard Health System in February 2000. MacNeal is a fully-integrated health care system that includes a 467 licensed bed hospital, MacNeal Primary Care Network - an affiliated network of 18 primary care medicine centers; MacNeal Health Providers - a managed care network; MacNeal OccHealth Services - an occupation medicine provider; Genesis Clinical Laboratory - a large commercial clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory and 70 employed physicians on its medical staff including more than 40 primary care physicians. The hospital enjoys the distinction of being one of the few community hospitals in which the prestigious University of Chicago Medical School has placed its medical students and residents.

MacNeal Hospital participates in the University of Chicago's residency programs in internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and psychiatry. MacNeal provides a broad range of inpatient acute care, inpatient sub acute and outpatient services for medical, dental, surgical, pediatric, neonatal, obstetrical/gynecological, psychiatric and drug and alcohol dependent patients.

The MacNeal Hospital CFO is a member of the hospital's senior management team, and will report directly to the hospital CEO, as well as maintain a dotted-line relationship to the VP Regional Operations Controller for Vanguard. The CFO will be responsible for providing financial direction and execution toward the achievement of the hospital's budget and strategic planning objectives; managing the revenue from all potential sources; interpreting trends and variances; consolidating and preparing the general ledger and financial reports; as well as providing monthly presentations to the hospital CEO and VP Regional Operations Controller.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary financial leader with unquestioned integrity and a commitment to the vision, mission and values of MacNeal Hospital. The successful candidate must have a relevant undergraduate degree with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure or graduate degree in business or accounting and an outstanding record of achievement with a minimum of seven years progressive healthcare financial responsibility including five years as a hospital CFO with experience in all hospital fiscal activities.
