Children's Healthcare of Atlanta invites nominations and applications for qualified individuals for the position of Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations. Witt/Kieffer, an executive search firm serving healthcare, higher education, and the not-for-profit communities has been retained by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to conduct this search.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a not-for-profit organization, is one of the leading pediatric healthcare systems in the country, encompassing three hospitals and 17 satellite locations. Children's offers access to more than 1,400 physicians in more than 30 pediatric specialties, with particular expertise in pediatric cardiac care, hematology/ oncology and solid organ transplants. In 2006, Children's managed more than half a million patient visits. Child magazine ranked Children's as one of the top three children's hospitals nationwide in 2007. U.S. News & World Report named Children's one of the best pediatric hospitals in the nation in 2006.

The Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations is responsible for the overall clinical care operations of the system, including physician and hospital operations. The position is charged with driving operational excellence in clinical care and leading system-wide integration for the clinical delivery system. The EVP, Clinical Operations reports to the CEO and serves as a key member of the Executive Team. The Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations is responsible for carrying out organizational objectives that will ensure the highest quality of healthcare for the children of CHOA's service area. Reporting to the EVP, Clinical Operations are: the operations of each hospital (Egleston, Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding), all service lines and clinical care, clinical quality, support services and system physician practices

A B.S. or B.A. degree in business, finance, healthcare or commensurate area of study is required and a graduate degree is preferred. Greater than ten years of senior operational leadership experience in a complex healthcare with multiple operating sites is required.
