Memorial Health System has 4,700 employees and operates two hospitals as well as a children's hospital. Memorial Hospital Central is licensed for 616 beds and includes the Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with The Children's Hospital (based in Denver). Memorial Hospital North opened in 2007 and is licensed for 98 beds. The system also operates more then a dozen outpatient facilities throughout the community. Memorial has received many accolades to include recognition as #1 Heart Program in Colorado and Top 5% in the nation by Health Grades in 2008. Net operating revenue for the system in 2008 is expected to be 631 million dollars.
The CFO reports directly to the system CEO and is responsible for the planning, operations and coordination of the Finance Division of MHS. The CFO will serve as the chief financial adviser to the CEO and Board of Trustees providing critical financial expertise in the areas of bond financing, cash and debt management, insurance, third party payer contracting and related areas.
Colorado Springs is located approximately 70 miles south of Denver at the base of scenic Pikes Peak in the Front Range region of Colorado. Money Magazine rated the city number one - the Best Big City in the nation to live and work - in its August 2006 issue.
