Chief Nursing Executive

Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC), of Marinette, Wisconsin, is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Nursing Executive (CNE). The CNE is a member of the senior executive team and reports to the CEO.
BAMC, a 100-bed, comprehensive acute care hospital one hour north of Green Bay, has a stable leadership team and a culture that is driven by values and customer service. The hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary medical and surgical services, including cardiac catheterization. In Fall of 2008, the facility will be offering interventional cardiac catheterization.
BAMC is the recipient of multiple quality awards, including designation as a Solucient Top 100 hospital, and recognition in patient Safety by Health Grades. BAMC is seeking a nurse executive who will move nursing to the next level of professionalism and performance.
The CNE oversees multiple nursing areas including OBGYN, Medical-Surgical Units, ICU, Emergency Services, Clinical Education, Case Management, House Supervisors and Dietary Services. Qualified candidates will be Master's prepared, with a minimum of three years experience in a nursing director or CNE role in a like sized or large facility. Strong business management, healthcare utilization management essential; outstanding people management and workforce development and leadership skills are also important. Experience managing in union environments is a plus.
