Vice President, Human Resources

Dimensions Healthcare System, an integrated, not-for-profit healthcare system serving the residents of Prince George's County, Maryland, is seeking a new Vice President, Human Resources.
Dimensions Healthcare System (DHS) is the largest provider of health care services in the Prince George's County; DHS employs 2,700 people and has annual net revenues of $341 million. The system is composed of Prince George's Hospital Center (290 beds), Laurel Regional Hospital (146 beds), Bowie Health Center and the Gladys Spellman Specialty Hospital & Nursing Center.
The Vice President, Human Resources (VPHR) will report to John O'Brien, Chief Operating Officer of Dimensions Healthcare System and President of Prince George's Hospital Center. The VPHR will have overall responsibility for leading the entire human resources function for the system and will be a key member of the senior management team. The VPHR will be expected to provide proactive, consultative human resources leadership to a complex, multi-entity organization that is managing significant change. This new executive will need to bring a high level of discipline and responsiveness in developing and implementing human resource programs and be committed to building and providing contemporary, responsive human resources services. Candidates must be comfortable working with unions, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be capable and interested in developing staff.
Vice President-level HR experience is preferred, but experienced Assistant VPs or Directors with a strong HR leadership track record will be considered.
