Hartford Healthcare Corporation (HHCC) seeks a Chief Strategy Officer with an outstanding track record of achieving key strategic initiatives and evaluating new opportunities that further the mission and vision of world-class healthcare organizations. HHCC is embarking on initiatives to enhance and build a regional system and this individual will play an integral role in developing strategies that further this growth and development.

HHCC is one of the nation's premier health delivery systems and finest community teaching hospitals. HHCC operates a network of healthcare organizations including Hartford Hospital (HH), an 819 bed major community teaching hospital, and generates system-wide revenues in excess of $1 billion. The hospital has received multiple recognitions for excellence including "Top 100" hospital status and nursing's most prestigious award, Magnet designation. In addition to Hartford Hospital, HHCC also operates two successful smaller community hospitals, and has a full spectrum of wholly owned and strategic affiliates that provide a complete continuum of care to the greater Hartford community.

The Chief Strategy Officer is a pivotal position on the executive management team of the recently appointed President and CEO of HHCC, Elliot Joseph. This individual will report to him and lead, direct and guide the organization to fulfill its mission, vision, values and strategic direction in the areas of planning, business development, marketing, communications, and community relations. This individual will also provide system oversight to several of HHCC's wholly owned subsidiaries and strategic alliances.

We seek a proven leader with broad-based experience at the executive level in a large, sophisticated organization. The ideal candidate will have a progressive and highly successful track record in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, business development, physician and other organizational partnership building, and community relations, ideally in a healthcare system of similar size, scope, and reputation to HHCC.
