Senior Vice President, Operations and Administration

The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), located in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Senior Vice President, Operations and Administration to oversee and manage a significant and diverse set of support functions for FSMB and its infrastructure. Witt/Kieffer has been engaged to assist FSMB in this search.

Reporting to the President and CEO of FSMB, the Senior Vice President will be expected to manage strategic planning for future systems and will be responsible for the development of best practices for the organization and the maintenance and development of existing and new technologies to keep FSMB ahead of the curve technologically. The SVP will be an integral member of the senior management team and will be asked to represent FSMB from time to time with outside audiences.

The Federation of State Medical Boards is comprised of 70 state medical licensing and disciplinary boards and provides support and assistance to its member boards in the protection of the public. The FSMB's mission is to continuously improve the quality, safety and integrity of health care through developing and promoting high standards for physician licensure and practice.

The successful candidate will possess a superb record of accomplishments in a professional organization, association, health care entity or other appropriate background including at least five to ten years of experience in an IT intensive management environment. A graduate degree in management such as an MBA, MD/MBA, or DO/MBA would be ideal.
