Witt Kieffer is currently assisting Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS), located to the northeast of San Francisco, in its search for a new CIO to lead their information technology department. The scope is broad, ranging from inpatient acute care to an extensive ambulatory care network and a managed care payor organization. The Information Technology function supports all of these health provider activities, and there is a strong desire to create a unified patient record across all sites of care with a comprehensive medical history available to any provider, and to integrate this resource into a more proactive disease management approach for the population served by CCHS. The IT function also serves the related health services provided by the county, including mental health, public health, environmental health, and correctional health services.
A bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in business, computer science, healthcare administration, or related field is preferred. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare CIO to lead the organization through a significant redefinition of its information technology strategy and future direction.
