Executive Director, EHPP

Excela Health has engaged Witt Kieffer to help them find an executive to lead their employed physician practices (Excela Health Physician Practices - EHPP). Formed in 2004 with the merger of three hospitals in Westmoreland County and enlarged in May, 2008 with the additional of Mercy Hospital of Jeannette, Excela is the premier health system on the eastern outskirts of Pittsburgh.
Presently, over 20% of Excela Health's medical staff of 600 physicians are employed by EHPP. The size of the EHPP has doubled in the past two years and over the next 12-18 months, it is anticipated that an additional 50-100 physicians will be employed. Excela Health has recently completed a multi-year strategic plan that sets ambitious goals for growth and development of the organization, including a capital plan that will invest substantial resources in the construction and re-configuration of its existing hospitals.
Excela wishes to review both physicians and non-physician candidates for this key leadership role. Candidates will need significant knowledge and experience managing and leading physician practices. Experience in a multi-specialty setting is preferable as is work within a health system.
