Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, seeks an Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer for Creighton Medical Associates, the 225 physician faculty practice plan.
Creighton Medical Associates (CMA) physicians provide clinical care across a broad range of specialties and subspecialties to over 100, 000 patients annually in the Omaha metropolitan area and rural regions of Nebraska and Iowa. Creighton University Medical Center, a 334 bed full-service tertiary referral care facility, is the primary teaching hospital for the Creighton University School of Medicine. CMA physicians also provide services at several community-based clinics and rural outreach clinics.
The Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer will provide overall strategic, operational and financial leadership to the faculty practice plan. Reporting to the Dean, this executive will lead the development and implementation of tactical and strategic plans which support the clinical, research, and teaching missions of the Creighton University School of Medicine.
The ideal candidate will have progressively responsible healthcare administration experience to include at least five years of senior management experience gained within a faculty practice plan, a large clinical department of an academic medical center, or in finance/administration within a school of medicine. A master's degree in a relevant field is required. Demonstrated leadership, strong management and financial skills, an understanding of the dynamics of faculty practice and academic healthcare, and an entrepreneurial orientation are essential.
