Jewish Senior Life Detroit

Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan Detroit ("Jewish Senior Life Detroit") in West Bloomfield, Michigan, a $19 million annual revenue organization, is a newly-established nonprofit organization which will lead, coordinate and expand services to Jewish older adults living in the Metropolitan Detroit area of Michigan. Jewish Senior Life Detroit will streamline Detroit's services to older adults provided by five area Jewish communal agencies into a centralized, seamless service delivery network providing a continuum of accessible, high-quality, state-of-the-art services that support aging with dignity and choice.

Jewish Apartments and Services in Oak Park, Michigan, and Jewish Home and Aging Services in West Bloomfield, Michigan, are in the process of merging to form Jewish Senior Life Detroit as a first step in creating this new lead agency which will provide an unprecedented range of services to the growing population of Jewish older adults in Metropolitan Detroit. Jewish Senior Life Detroit will work collaboratively with Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit, Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Jewish Vocational Service in Southfield, Michigan, to create a fully-coordinated Older Adults Services network.

The ideal candidate for the role of CEO of Jewish Senior Life Detroit will possess a record of success in leading a continuum of residential and community-based programs and services for Older Adults; knowledge of trends and innovations in the field of Older Adults Services; and a reputation for superb team leadership, relationship-building and collaboration. This leader will be a senior care, older adult services and/or elderly affordable housing management professional with a dynamic vision for Older Adult services, exceptional business management skills, continuous quality improvement expertise, and a distinctly cooperative style.

This executive will be a leader with an understanding of the Jewish community, its values and culture. The CEO will ensure Jewish Senior Life Detroit attains a high level of quality, service, financial vibrancy, operational performance, and will ensure Jewish Senior Life Detroit establishes a reputation as one of the nation's premier nonprofit faith-based Older Adult Services networks. This leader will be Master's prepared in Healthcare, Public Policy, Geriatric Care, Business, Social Work, or a related area. A Bachelor's Degree is required.
