Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (EMHC), located in Elmhurst, Illinois has retained the nationally recognized search firm of Witt/Kieffer to assist in the identification of candidates for its next CEO. The planned retirement of EMHC's long-standing CEO is expected in July 2011. Prior to this leadership change, the new CEO will serve as President, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
EMH is a 326-bed facility with $345 million in net patient revenue and provides specialized medical and surgical care. EMH is ranked among the top five percent of all U.S. hospitals for clinical excellence. The new President will have the unique opportunity to lead the transition into a new hospital and new campus. Scheduled for completion in 2011, this $450 million project offers a new fully integrated medical campus which will include an acute care hospital with 259 all-private rooms, a state-of-the-art Emergency Department and technologically advanced surgical suites. The new campus will also feature specialty services, individual physician offices and a retail complex.
