The reconfiguration of this role positions the Executive Director within the senior administrative team and recognizes the integral nature of philanthropy to the strategic vision of the health system. Best suited for the culture of this organization and team is an innovative, high energy, results-driven contemporary philanthropy professional who can "make it happen" and take a vibrant Foundation to the next level of sophistication.
Linking programmatic initiatives to fundraising, creating avenues for the Foundation to benefit from the coming intergenerational transfer of wealth, engaging communities in a regional approach, maximizing Foundation benefit from national funding source trends, will be among the mission critical foci for this executive.
This position will report to Gary Duncan, FHS President/Chief Executive Officer and be further supported by a five-member Foundation Committee, which consists of community leaders and Board representation.
Potential candidates will have Bachelor's Degree in public relations, business communications, journalism or other applicable field. Master's degree preferred. Five to seven years experience in philanthropy, marketing or public relations, preferably in the not-for-profit sector. Healthcare experience is desirable, but not required. Candidate selection will focus on cultural fit, style and the demonstrated contemporary, innovative approaches of the individual to successful fund raising.
