Witt/Kieffer is excited to announce the executive search for the new Vice President of Surgical/Ambulatory Services at Parrish Medical Center (PMC), a 210-bed, not-for-profit public medical center located on the banks of the Indian River in Titusville, Florida. The four areas of specialization at PMC include cancer treatment, cardiac care, orthopedics, and women's and children's health services. Parrish Medical Center's Cancer Center of Excellence has a working affiliation with H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and Research Institute of Tampa, Florida.
Parrish Medical Center is a nationally recognized industry leader having earned a number of prestigious recognitions, including the Top 100 Places to Work in Healthcare 2009/2010 Award Winner and 2009/2010 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent healthcare ratings organization. Additionally, PMC has seven Joint Commission disease-specific Gold Seals (more than all but seven hospitals in the U.S.): primary stroke, diabetes, heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, wound care, breast health, and palliative care. They will soon have nine, adding total hip and total knee. This places PMC as one of three healthcare organizations in the nation with at least nine DSC.
The Vice President of Surgical/Ambulatory Services is a key member of the senior leadership team at Parrish Medical Center. He/she will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with his/her colleagues to assure top quality surgical and ambulatory services. The executive will have significant responsibility for developing and implementing the strategic direction for all surgical and ambulatory services and products and assuring optimal operating performance of existing as well as future programs across the organization's continuum.
The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to successfully work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment, is one with very high energy and confidence and capable of absorbing multiple inputs on multiple issues simultaneously. The right person is comfortable maintaining high visibility and has excellent communication skills including listening, speaking and writing skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a broad range of people is ideal. A minimum of seven years of management experience in a complex environment is required with at least ten years in healthcare. Senior level experience in a similarly sized hospital required.
