Connecticut Children’s is uniquely positioned as the only freestanding independent children’s hospital between Boston and Philadelphia with satellite facilities throughout Connecticut and western Massachusetts.  The not-for-profit academic medical center is the home of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics.  Connecticut Children’s offers a broad range of services and is the principal training site not only for pediatrics, but for the pediatric components of many other graduate medical education programs. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks Connecticut Children’s as one of the nation’s “Best Children’s Hospitals.”

In addition to the strategic growth of the clinical enterprise, world-class research is a very significant part of the strategy.  Connecticut Children’s has developed a highly collaborative research partnership with The Jackson Laboratory which is world renowned for its genomic research. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks Connecticut Children’s as one of the nation’s “Best Children’s Hospitals.”  As an example of its growing portfolio of world-class research, Connecticut Children’s, in partnership with The Jackson Laboratory and the UConn School of Medicine, recruited during the last year three internationally renowned physician scientists/researchers.

The next SVP/CFO will have a broad range of strategic financial skills with a record of accomplishments gained from senior finance leadership roles in competitive healthcare markets.  In this highly visible role, the CFO will be adept at balancing the leadership of strategic finance with the management of the financial operations that are needed to continue the current trajectory for financial success.  Critical to this success is collaboration with a wide range of key stakeholders to develop and assess pro-formas for future growth. Most importantly, candidates will have a passion for pediatric healthcare and thrive on working in a fast paced environment that delivers world-class children’s healthcare.

The CFO will have the opportunity to live and work in an outstanding market.
