Witt/Kieffer has been retained by United Health Services in Binghamton, NY to assist in their recruitment efforts for their next Chief Human Resources Officer.

This executive will be an integral, contributing member of the United Health Services (UHS) senior management team and will effectively lead the Human Resources department for the system. The CHRO will ensure that the human resources function is aligned with the vision and operations of United Health Services and that these goals are integrated into all departments and levels of the organization. This role requires an innovative, highly driven executive who is by nature highly performance-oriented in advancing high quality Human Resources services. The new successful leader will assess and refine human resources strategies and practices that focus on enhancing employee engagement, talent acquisition and management, technology enhancement, organizational development, succession planning, and the integration of human resources across the organization. The Chief Human Resources Officer will report directly to John Carrigg, President and CEO of the UHS Hospitals who will become the CEO of the entire UHS system January 2018.

The CHRO will ensure that the people function is aligned with the vision and operations of United Health Services and that these goals are integrated into all departments and levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, communicative, innovative and results-oriented HR leader. He/she will have a minimum of ten years human resources management experience, a significant portion of which should have been in a compelling leadership role for the design, development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies and improving human resources in the healthcare arena. An ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in human resources, business, healthcare administration or other related fields, and will have past experience leading a high performing HR team at a senior level.
