The American Academy of Ophthalmology (The Academy), the world's largest association of eye physicians and surgeons, is actively seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team of Vice Presidents. The COO will execute on day-to-day operations, processes, develop innovative new programs and business lines, and ensure necessary resources are provided to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. S/he will make a critical impact by providing operational and financial oversight, developing leaders, and consulting with team members to fulfill the Academy's mission.

Located in San Francisco, California, The Academy's mission is to protect sight and empower lives by setting the standards for and leading ophthalmic education, advocating for patients and the public, and advancing the profession of ophthalmology.
