Tampa, FL

Job Description

Witt/Kieffer is proud to partner with Tampa General Hospital (TGH) on the search for a dynamic executive to serve as its next Chief Operating Officer (COO).  The COO position represents an outstanding leadership opportunity for an operationally-talented, innovative, collaborative leader to join this premier medical center.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will be an integral member of the executive leadership team and will have a highly visible and key leadership role in directing a broad array of clinical and operational areas within the organization.

Tampa General is a 1,011-bed Level 1 trauma center with approximately 7,300 employees.  TGH has been named the top hospital in the Tampa Metro Area for 2017-18, and one of the nation’s top 50 hospitals in six medical specialties by U.S. News & World Report.  U.S. News ranked TGH second among all hospitals in Florida.  TGH is the primary teaching affiliate of the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and over 300 residents are assigned to TGH for specialty training.  TGH is home for one of the nation’s busiest adult solid organ transplant centers, and a nationally designated magnet hospital for quality nursing care.
