Job Description

CHI Memorial and CHI Memorial Medical Group (MMG) seek a collaborative, visible and progressive physician leader to serve as the President of CHI-MMG. 

Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, CHI Memorial is a regional referral center of choice with more than 3,500 associates and more than 650 affiliated physicians providing health care throughout Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia.  CHI Memorial Medical Group is made up of over 200 providers, and specialties include family and internal medicine, pediatrics, surgical oncology, urology, pulmonology, and gynecology.

The President will report to Larry Schumacher, CHI Memorial CEO and Senior Vice President of Operations, Southeast Division, Catholic Health Initiatives, and will also sit on the senior leadership team for CHI Memorial.

The incoming President will drive the organization to become a high performing medical group, working collaboratively with the leadership team at CHI Memorial to create a shared vision and culture for MMG, strengthening relationships, evolving physician leadership opportunities, and preparing the medical group to thrive under healthcare reform.  The leader will create a strong culture within MMG, instilling a sense of purpose and pride in the organization. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading through influence, and demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence. He/she will be a physician with appropriate board certification, with experience preferably in community settings, including a background in quality management, performance improvement and care redesign.  He/she will have demonstrated experience working within integrated physician networks.
