Witt/Kieffer is pleased to be partnering with WellStar Health System in the recruitment of President for WellStar Paulding Hospital. This opportunity is in Hiram, Georgia, a 45-minute drive from Atlanta’s international airport. 

WellStar Health System encompasses 11 hospitals, 240 medical office locations, multiple outpatient centers, 20,000 employees and over 2500 medical staff members.  WellStar is part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network and is the recipient of numerous recognitions including FORTUNE’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and Working Mother’s Best Companies list.

WellStar Paulding Hospital recently moved into a new replacement hospital consisting of 112 private inpatient rooms, adult and pediatric emergency exam rooms, a pediatric trauma room, cardiac rehabilitation, seven surgical suites and decentralized nursing stations.  On the same license is a thriving 182-bed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

The President of WellStar Paulding Hospital is responsible for collaboratively developing the vision of WellStar Paulding Hospital, and implementing the strategic direction in concert with system level executives.  This leader will foster a climate of urgency that balances the opportunity to transform care delivery with operational realities and the need to meet immediate service excellence, operating and financial results.

The successful candidate will be an experienced executive of the highest integrity. The President will play a pivotal role in defining and leading the future vision for the hospital and will be responsible for enhancing the organization’s reputation as the premier patient-centered hospital in the market. This executive must be innovative with demonstrated ability to execute on strategies in a manner that ensures the organization will operate at maximum efficiency. The President will be involved in a variety of WellStar committees and projects as requested.

Undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, healthcare management or related field are required. Additional requirements include ten years of progressive senior leadership experience in a large healthcare institution/system of similar size and complexity to WellStar Paulding Hospital.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success and expertise in broad strategic and operational healthcare leadership, including past successes capturing additional market share in a competitive environment, while at the same time improving patient satisfaction, employee engagement, fiscal performance and clinical quality. Development and sustained leadership of engaged team members, effective performance management, and achievement of targeted goals is expected.
