NorthBay Healthcare a locally based, non-profit healthcare organization serving Solano County California (Fairfield & Vacaville) seeks candidates for the position of Vice President, Human Resources (VPHR).

NorthBay Healthcare is a well respected and locally managed non-profit integrated health system and the integrated health system in the northern San Francisco Bay Area affiliated with the Mayo Clinic Care Network. NorthBay consists of two acute care hospitals, an ambulatory division, the NorthBay Medical Foundation employing 130 providers, NorthBay Healthcare Advantage, NorthBay Cancer Center and Center for Orthopedics, and an ownership interest in the Western Health Advantage health plan.  NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield and NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville, operate under a single license and are recognized with Magnet designation.  NorthBay employs over 2,800 employees and has a strong reputation for quality and service to the community, state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated physicians, Magnet nursing designation, and a loyal non-unionized staff. 

The VPHR is a senior leadership position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the system, and will have significant impact on the strategic direction for human resources and organizational development for NorthBay.  The VPHR will supervise the areas of staff development, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, recruitment and retention, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, HRIS and organizational development.  The VPHR must build credibility within all levels of the organization and be the champion of a positive organizational culture. 

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility in human resource management in a complex healthcare organization.  He/she will have strong technical skills in all areas of human resources and have experience working with boards of directors on strategic human resources matters.  We are seeking a progressive leader, focused on process improvement, who is a relationship builder and would be highly visible throughout the organization.  An advanced degree in business, human resources, organization development or labor relations would be highly desirable.
