Job Description

KentuckyOne Health in Lexington, Kentucky has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in the search for a high caliber Market Vice President, Mission Integration.  KentuckyOne Health recently announced their intent to focus on a smaller, more localized approach to care delivery.  As a result, they are rebuilding a regional structure based in Lexington, KY, with a footprint centered on Central and Eastern Kentucky. With net revenues of approximately $1 billion, the system includes six acute care hospitals, a 220 bed behavioral health facility, as well as KentuckyOne Health Partners, a care management company and the KentuckyOne Health Medical Group. 

The Market Vice President, Mission Integration will be an integral member of the senior executive team and will be charged with engaging KentuckyOne internal team members, physicians and the broader external community as well as enhancing the relationship with the Catholic Church. This is an excellent opportunity to focus on rebuilding the Mission function and inspiring action that is palpable to KentuckyOne team members and the community.  The Market Vice President will have the opportunity to create a structure that supports Mission integration objectives and will work closely with other mission leaders within Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) ministries.  The Market Vice President is responsible for executive leadership of KentuckyOne Chaplaincy. 

The ideal candidate will be a system thinker and team player with a proven track record of aligning Mission Integration with organization strategy while leading complex organizational changes that support an integrated enterprise.  Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of progressive experience working in Health Care Mission or Community Advocacy related work along with a knowledge of the operational issues impacting health systems.  A keen understanding of the Ethical and Religious Directives of Catholic Health Care Services is imperative. Candidates should also have a master's degree in an appropriate discipline such as Theology, Divinity, or health related specialty.
