We Help Develop High Performing Boards
Highly effective boards develop a deliberate, formal process to identify, recruit and train qualified members to succeed departing trustees, as well as prepare its existing members for leadership positions. We use a consultative process – finely honed by working with healthcare, higher education and not-for-profit boards since 1969 – to help build strong boards with high-performing trustees. We develop a formal approach for board renewal to determine the appropriate balance of attributes, skills and experiences that the best board members need, along with how to attract and retain high quality and committed trustees.
Our consultants also provide thought leadership and support to boards by facilitating board retreats and customizing education sessions. We frequently author articles and sponsor and/or speak at national and regional governance conferences and programs such as the Association for Governing Boards, American Lung Association and Modern Healthcare’s Trustee of the Year award program, among others.
