Leveraging strong experience working in academia, Andrew Bowen supports the recruitment of a variety of top administrative roles on behalf of leading public and private universities and colleges. He collaborates with colleagues to identify leaders who fit client institutions’ strategic needs, educational missions and cultural traditions.
Before joining WittKieffer, Andrew was the program coordinator of core curriculum for American University in Washington, D.C. In this position, he was responsible for developing and implementing a new course review system for faculty subcommittees. In addition, he researched and advised faculty in the creation and execution of cutting-edge student learning outcomes while also helping to improve data collection practices for the institution’s new curriculum.
Andrew is passionate about a variety of topics and issues within higher education. In his graduate work at the University of Maryland, he conducted research on college access for first-generation rural students, the role of rankings in higher education, and the influence of athletic conferences upon specific institutions.
