Based in London, C.J. Bolster serves as WittKieffer’s Managing Director of Global Operations. In this role, he helps to grow the firm internationally and ensure quality, consistency and excellence in WittKieffer’s work for clients around the globe. He also collaborates closely with the firm’s consultants and staff outside the U.S., ensuring that the right individuals and resources are aligned to support clients wherever their talent needs may be.
C.J. is a highly regarded leader in the management consulting and executive search fields and a consultant to healthcare and higher education. As a professional service firm leader, he has held progressive departmental, regional, industry, national and global positions where teams he has led achieved improved client impact and service, profitable growth and internal development of leadership talent. As a consultant, he has worked with governing and management boards on issues including performance and talent development, executive and board compensation, organizational design and C-suite succession planning.
Prior to joining WittKieffer, he was a managing director and held other senior executive roles with another global executive search and advisory firm. Here, he led the successful integration of a major acquisition and the operations of advisory services for that firm in EMEA. Prior to the acquisition, he led U.S. operations for Hay Group. Additionally, C.J. was a senior manager with KPMG Peat Marwick in Atlanta, where he directed and participated in numerous healthcare strategic planning and organizational improvement efforts. Prior to that, he was a consultant and director of business development for Medicus Systems Inc. in Chicago, where he assisted with the identification of and planning for acquisitions, strategic partnerships and product development opportunities.
C.J. was elected and served on the Hay Group governing board and he has served on several additional governing boards including as former vice chair and member of Theatrical Outfit, a leading regional theatre in Atlanta, and former chair and long-term member of the Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House Board. C.J. is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
