Joanne Koo (she/her) is an exceptionally dedicated Senior Research Manager serving in WittKieffer’s Singapore office. She has a passion for identifying candidates who align with an organization’s strategic priorities and culture while also showing a vision for future opportunities. Joanne supports clients including biopharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic firms, as well as colleges and universities, academic medical centers, community hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the Asia-Pacific region, with particular experience in Hong Kong/China.
Joanne has 14 years of recruitment experience, most recently as a senior consultant in one of the leading executive search firms in Singapore. In this role she managed mid-to-senior level recruitments in the areas of medical affairs, regulatory affairs, R&D and quality. She also had a stint as a talent acquisition consultant for Kimberly-Clark. Prior, she was a talent acquisition partner for Singapore and Malaysia for Baxter International, where she was responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle from job posting, phone screening, and presentation of candidates to hiring managers, to salary proposal and offer management. As a talent advisor to hiring managers, she communicated recruitment trends and key market intelligence. In another previous role, she was an on-site recruiter for Takeda’s Emerging Markets business unit, where she managed the entire recruitment process.
