Kati Sweaney believes in the transformative power of higher education. She knows each college and university is a unique ecosystem, and takes pride in finding leaders who will help an institution and its students flourish. Kati is particularly motivated to strengthen the pipeline for those who have historically been underrepresented in higher education leadership. She is proud to support professional education searches in the areas of admission and financial aid, development, advancement, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Before joining WittKieffer, Kati gained a broad perspective on higher education from a wide-ranging career. Most recently she was a Senior Assistant Dean of Admission at Reed College, where she trained application readers and oversaw the student work program, recruitment events and alumni volunteers. Kati has also evaluated applications for the University of California, San Diego and worked as a college counselor for high school students, the majority of whom were the first in their families to attend U.S. colleges.
Kati has been a frequent presenter at National Association for College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and the College Board, particularly on best practices for serving transgender and gender non-conforming students. She won the 2015 Ned Tibby Award from the College Board Western Region for enrollment leadership potential.
