WittKieffer Appoints Michelle Johnson Senior Partner in Firm’s Healthcare Practice

WittKieffer today announced Michelle Johnson as a new senior partner in the Healthcare Practice. In this position, Johnson will continue to prioritize the placement of leaders who bring a growth mindset, enhance their organizational culture and empower their teams to succeed.

Based in the Minneapolis area, Johnson joined the firm in 2019 and benefits from nearly 20 years of experience as a strategic advisor to clients in the healthcare industry, conducting searches for community-based health systems, academic medical centers, specialty hospitals, physician group practices and other healthcare organizations. Beyond executive search, she provides expert counsel in performance management, retention strategies, succession planning, organizational design and governance best practices.

“It is an honor to work with my incredibly talented colleagues and to develop high-trust partnerships with clients. I am excited to see the ways in which WittKieffer continues to grow as I begin my role as senior partner,” said Johnson. “Looking forward, an enduring focus of mine is to find and advance high-potential, up-and-coming women executives and leaders of color to bring much-needed diversity to C-suites across the healthcare industry through executive search.”

In addition to her role at WittKieffer, Johnson serves on the board of CentraCare, a $2 billion regional health system in Minnesota. She is an active member of Women Business Leaders in Healthcare as well as the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“We are thrilled to add Michelle to our talented cohort of senior partners,” said Andrew Chastain, president and CEO of WittKieffer. “Since joining WittKieffer, Michelle has maintained our high standard of excellence in helping hospitals and health systems place leaders that align with their values to best serve their communities. We look forward to working with Michelle to continue serving our clients in new and better ways.”
