Loyola University Chicago’s Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health seeks an exceptional scholar and experienced administrator to serve as its inaugural Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship.

As a champion and chief steward of the Parkinson School’s research enterprise, the Associate Dean will inspire, promote, and support excellence in research and scholarship and build a robust portfolio of funded scholarly activities, thereby enhancing the Parkinson School and Loyola University Chicago’s distinction and impact.

Since its launch in 2019, the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health has distinguished itself as a boldly innovative and entrepreneurial school that emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, collaboration, and care for communities. The school is the home for Loyola’s participation in the Institute for Translational Medicine, a Chicago-area CTSA hub that includes University of Chicago, Rush University, Advocate Health Care, Illinois Institute of Technology, and NorthShore University Health System.

With an ethos of design- and systems-thinking, the Parkinson School translates research, scholarship, and teaching to scalable, sustainable solutions. Faculty in Applied Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics and Data Science, and Public Health Sciences prepare the next generation of scholars, educators, and health practitioners to expand knowledge and drive change in service of humanity through learning, justice, and faith.

The Parkinson School seeks an Associate Dean with a record of distinction in research, extramural funding, and graduate education.
