The successful candidate will have an advanced degree, preferably in higher education administration or student affairs; a minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in student affairs; a demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork; demonstrated success supporting an ethnically and culturally diverse student body; the ability to work productively with faculty, academic administrators, staff, students and student organizations; appreciation for the role of student affairs in a small liberal arts setting and enthusiasm for the challenges and rewards of women’s education. The VPSA/dean will advance the program through a keen awareness of current college student trends and issues and the ability to assess programs and services to maximize their effectiveness.
