The University of Florida (UF) invites applications for the position of Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 pharmacy college in Florida and in the Top 5 nationally, the University of Florida College of Pharmacy has been developing future leaders in pharmacy practice and science for nearly a century. The UF College of Pharmacy has 135 faculty organized in five departments and is the academic home to five research centers. With campuses in Gainesville, Jacksonville and Orlando, award-winning faculty aim to improve the health of Floridians and people across the world through pharmacy education, high-impact research and clinical innovation.
The incoming Dean will have an opportunity to advance clinical practice innovations in partnership with the health system, expand collaborations with the recently acquired Scripps Florida, and capitalize on the university’s unprecedented investment in Artificial Intelligence.
The successful candidate will be a prominent leader in pharmacy with demonstrated leadership and substantial administrative experience coupled with a distinguished scholarly record. Minimum requirements include: a PharmD, PhD or equivalent doctoral degree; progressive executive management experience in a leading academic or similarly complex institution; success recruiting, retaining and developing outstanding cohorts of faculty, staff and students; success contributing to institutional diversity, equity and inclusion goals and advancing health equity; broad recognition for scholarly achievements in research and education in pharmacy or other health sciences; experience with innovative practice models; and progressive vision for pharmacy as a health profession.
