Catholic Health in Buffalo, NY, has partnered with WittKieffer to seek a seasoned, results-oriented executive to serve as the Hospital President at Sisters of Charity Hospital. Part of Catholic Health, Sisters of Charity Hospital is a general medical and surgical hospital founded in 1848 by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. It is a teaching hospital with several residency programs and a handful of fellowship programs. The hospital has 467 beds across two campuses (Main Street and St. Joseph’s) and specializes in women’s health services. The President has operational responsibility for the safe and high-quality delivery of acute clinical, diagnostic, ancillary and other operational services provided within the hospital. This role manages the operational and financial results by adhering to the productivity and safety standards required to meet CHS’s budget, mission, core values, and system vision and goals.

The President will partner with the clinicians and associates across all departments to ensure performance metrics are being met and are appropriate for ongoing measurement to

support the efficient delivery of care. This role will also partner with the Hospitals Leader and other Hospital Presidents to ensure consistent and integrated delivery of system goals and Catholic Health’s core values are incorporated into the day-to-day operations at the hospital level, while making certain the individual and collective needs of the patients and associates are being met. 

Sisters of Charity Hospital seeks a President with deep operations experience and one that has a steadfast, demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and excellence. This will be an individual with strong relationship skills – with team members, physicians, leadership as well as members of the community. The President will have a developed track record of leading improvement in quality, safety, and outcomes and must be able to operate and thrive in a collaborative leadership environment. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with an established ability to improve operating performance in complex, acute care settings.
