Adventist Health, with headquarters in Roseville, California, has retained WittKieffer to conduct a national search for the SVP/System, Chief Nursing Officer for all regions; Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii, a total of 19 hospitals and 6,000 nurses. This position, based in Hanford California, will serve as the most senior patient care services leader for the $3.9 billion system.
What is unique about Adventist Health? What differentiates this position from others available in the market?
We’re looking for that unique individual who can effectively lead complex change; who will have the authority, but prefers to use influence and education. A person who creates “followership” through communication, inclusivity and collaboration. Doctoral preparation would be ideal, but not required. Being a conscious, living example of a faith-based system is a must, but being a practicing Adventist is not.
Prior accomplishments in the development and execution of care redesign, creating the work force of the future, mentorship of leaders, advancing quality through elimination of variance and experience leading in a multi-site setting are required. Innovation, systems thinking, consensus building are all essential skill sets.
