With over 25 years of executive search experience, John Fazekas serves WittKieffer’s Not-for-Profit and Healthcare practices to identify outstanding leaders according to client-specific strategic imperatives and unique cultures. Successfully recruiting senior executives who know how to operate in lean environments or with especially tight margins has shaped his ability to identify leaders skilled at operating efficiency, focused on mission impact and who fit the culture and character of their organizations.

John has led and supported the full range of C-suite leadership engagements for C-suite and other key senior roles. Based in the firm’s Boston office, John’s clients include foundations and trusts, major civic and cultural organizations, hospitals, health systems, community health centers, disease-based associations and research institutes, and many other mission-driven organizations. Increasingly, John’s clients have made fundraising, finding new sources of revenue and operating with sustainability crucial requirements of their C-level leaders.

Prior to joining WittKieffer, John was Director of Executive Search for The Bridgespan Group, a nationally-recognized nonprofit that worked exclusively with other nonprofits through a range of services that included executive search, strategy consulting and philanthropic advising. Clients included direct service agencies, national nonprofits, foundations and other philanthropic initiatives.

John is a frequent volunteer within his community, and advises executives who are looking to make a difference in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.
