A consummate professional and award-winning administrator, Pat Coleman has more than 25 years of experience in higher education management, with an emphasis in admission, enrollment and financial aid. In her executive search work, Pat leverages a vast network of highly experienced as well as up-and-coming contacts within higher education. Early in her career as a vice president at Harvey Mudd College, Pat spearheaded enrollment efforts leading to an increase in students traditionally underrepresented in science and technology. She then led enrollment efforts for the University of Southern California’s Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. In addition she has served as vice president of enrollment at the University of La Verne and at Dominican University of California. In each of these positions she worked across the university to foster retention initiatives resulting in increased graduation rates. Pat’s career history is also distinguished by her experience as a senior education manager for the College Board. Her work included best practices management consulting; the presentation of college success seminars; needs analysis training workshops for financial aid professionals; and leadership of the annual College Board Summer Institute for the training of newly hired admissions staff. Pat has received awards for her service in higher education leadership including the College Board Exemplar and the Distinguished Service Award from the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling. She presents nationally at professional conferences, case studies programs and higher education leadership training institutes for emerging leaders in enrollment management.
