Zachary Durst (he/him) dedicates his search practice and work to identifying exceptional leaders in digital, information security, biomedical informatics and data analytics, with an emphasis on serving healthcare and higher education institutions. He routinely leads searches in pursuit of CIOs, CISOs, chief digital officers, chief medical informatics officers and other key executive roles. Zachary applies a deep understanding of how to bring forward transformational leaders into academic medical centers, health systems, universities and private equity organizations.
Since joining WittKieffer in 2013, Zachary has led and supported searches for more than 180 clients across the U.S. He is an active member in the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and frequent attendee of American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) meetings across the country. Zachary has written extensively for healthcare technology outlets on information technology leadership. He is also the recipient of a WittKieffer Quality Award.
Zachary started in WittKieffer as a research analyst managing projects internally for dozens of searches before being named to the consulting staff in his first 18 months. Prior to WittKieffer, Zachary worked with nonprofits on unemployment initiatives and in managing Illinois Department of Labor grants to small business owners.
